This page is on my Honda P06 ECU from a 1995 Civic Del Sol. This ECU is OBD1, where as the original one in my '96 Honda Civic DX is a OBD2 ECU. I had to modify this ECU to be able to run a fuel management program named Uberdata on my Civic and control tuning.

This control comes in the form of a 28 Pin chip, I program this chip with a fuel map that I wrote thru Uberdata's program. This chip has to be soldered into place on the Honda P06 ECU, where the numbers 27256 appear in the above picture, also other items had to be soldered into place to make this whole thing work, you can see such items at Keebler's web site. So that I could remove the chip easily any time that I wanted to change the program or use a chip with different fuel maps, I went on the idea of putting in a flip switch chip holder, also known as ZIF socket, (thanks to Keebler) to make things nice and easy.

The finished product looks like this. Now that Black cord over in the left hand corner is my USB connector I soldered onto the ECU to do Data logging thru Uberdata. This allows me to hook the ECU to my Laptop PC and to see what's going on with the motor while I'm driving and to keep a log of it for later comparison and modifications to the fuel maps.

Here a full picture of the ECU including the USB cord for connection to my Laptop. You can also see part of my OBD1 to OBD2 Harness to make this ECU adapt to the wiring on my Civic.
